This Cookie Policy explains how Meneja Billing uses cookies and similar technologies when you access the Meneja Platform. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
Section 01
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website or use a web application. They allow the application to remember information about your visit — such as your login session — so you don't have to re-enter your details on every page.
Cookies are widely used to make applications work efficiently and to provide reporting information. They are not executable programs and cannot access other data on your device.
Section 02
Cookies We Use
Meneja is a web application. The cookies we set are limited and functional. We do not use advertising cookies, behavioural tracking cookies, or third-party marketing cookies.
2.1 Essential Cookies Required
These cookies are strictly necessary for the Platform to function. Without them, you cannot log in, maintain a session, or access your dashboard. Because they are essential to delivering the service you have requested, they do not require your consent under Kenyan law.
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|
| sb-access-token | Supabase authentication session token. Identifies you as a logged-in user and controls role-based access. | Session (expires on logout or browser close) |
| sb-refresh-token | Allows your session to be renewed without requiring you to re-enter your password. | Up to 7 days |
| sb-auth-token | Maintains your authenticated state across page navigations within the Platform. | Session |
Removing or blocking essential cookies will prevent you from accessing your account. These cookies contain no personally identifiable information beyond a secure session token — your actual data remains on Supabase's servers.
2.2 Analytics Cookies Optional — not yet in use
We may in future deploy privacy-respecting analytics to understand how users interact with the Platform. If and when we do, we will:
- Seek your explicit consent before setting any non-essential cookies
- Update this policy to name the specific analytics provider and cookies used
- Provide a clear mechanism to withdraw consent at any time
At present, no analytics cookies are in use.
Section 03
Third-Party Cookies
Meneja does not embed third-party advertising networks, social media widgets, or affiliate trackers. The only third-party technology embedded in the Platform is Supabase (authentication and database), whose session cookies are described under Essential Cookies above.
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other third-party behavioural tracking service on the Platform at this time.
Section 04
Managing Cookies
You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies at any time. Instructions for common browsers:
| Browser | Where to find cookie settings |
|---|
| Chrome | Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data |
| Firefox | Preferences → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data |
| Safari | Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data |
| Edge | Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and data stored |
| Mobile (iOS) | Settings → Safari → Privacy & Security |
| Mobile (Android) | Chrome → Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data |
Note: Blocking essential cookies (the Supabase session cookies listed above) will prevent you from logging into or using the Meneja Platform. All other site functionality will remain accessible without cookies.
Section 05
Changes to This Cookie Policy
We will update this Cookie Policy if we introduce new cookies or change the ones described here. We will notify you of material changes via the Platform or by email before they take effect.
